Summer Programming | Junior Achievement of Greater Kansas City

Teaching financial literacy, career readiness and entrepreneurship skills, JA’s longest running program model can be taught outside of school hours, during summer school, or by non-school partner organizations.

The Process:

STEP 1:

Fill out the program request form to bring JA to your students.
⇨ Include program choices, preferred materials, facilitation dates and model (volunteer or educator).
⇨ Include name and contact information for volunteer.
⇨ JA will provide volunteers for the following programs:
    • Career Speaker Series
    • Career Exploration Fairs
    • JA Field Trip Experiences (ex: JA BizTown)

STEP 2:

Receive confirmation email from JA Education Manager.

STEP 3:

Participate in facilitator training session – 30 minutes, virtual and in-person offered.
⇨ Training is only required for new facilitators.

STEP 4:

Gain access to curriculum and materials for use during program sessions.

STEP 5:

Conduct JA programming.

STEP 6:

Send completed program details to Education Manager (ie: student counts, number of completed sessions, etc.)

STEP 7:

Complete post-program student and facilitator satisfaction surveys.

STEP 8:

Return left-over/unused materials.
