Year-End Giving | Junior Achievement of Greater Kansas City

Their Path. Our Promise.
Empowering Kansas City youth to own their future—with skills, confidence, and opportunity.
Give Now

In times of uncertainty, generosity remains our greatest strength. This season of giving is our chance to act together, making education meaningful, practical, and full of promise.

Too many young people are navigating a system that doesn’t connect classroom learning with real-world purpose. Today, 1 in 8 youth between the ages of 16 and 24 in the U.S. are not in school, not working, and not in training. This disconnection is often rooted in long-term disengagement, lack of access, and barriers that limit opportunity.

How We're Changing the Story

Junior Achievement of Greater Kansas City delivers integrated education solutions that combine academic learning, practical application, and community collaboration. This future-focused approach equips students with the confidence, skills, and mindset to thrive in school, in careers, and in life. Because we believe every student deserves a future of choice, not chance.

Here’s what we’re seeing: JA’s alumni report that 83% have fulfilling careers, and 81% feel they have a strong financial foundation. These aren’t just numbers, they’re proof that when learning is relevant, lives change.

2025 is a Strategic Year for Charitable Giving

Why give now? Starting January 1, 2026, new tax rules will reduce the benefit of charitable deductions for many donors.

If you itemize deductions on your tax return, new limits will take effect in 2026:

If you itemize, you might consider “bunching” gifts or pledging multi-year commitments in 2025 to lock in higher tax benefits — for example, by contributing to a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) now and recommending grants over future years.

2025 offers a unique opportunity to align your charitable goals with smart tax planning. Make your gift today to maximize your impact and your tax benefit.
