Bring JA to your classroom! Junior Achievement’s K-12 curriculum is intentionally designed to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences at every stage of a student’s journey. Each program is selected for its proven effectiveness, engagement, and adaptability to various learning needs, while building critical skills in financial literacy, career readiness, and entrepreneurial thinking.
Note: Both physical and digital kits are available for elementary school. For grades K-5, JA staff recommend physical kits for a more hands-on experience.
Cost:
Physical Kits: $49 per class

PLEASE NOTE:
JA Ourselves introduces kindergarten students to the intersection of financial literacy and early elementary grades social studies learning objectives. Through hands-on classroom activities, the learning experience provides students with an introduction to personal economics and the choices consumers make to meet their needs and wants.
JA Our Families introduces students to learning objectives for first-grade social studies, including families, neighborhoods, money, and needs and wants. Through hands-on classroom activities, students also explore the concept of entrepreneurship, specifically the ways in which businesses provide goods, services, and jobs for families.
Through JA Our Community, second-grade students are immersed in the daily life of their community—the people who work there, the money decisions they make, and the importance of being an involved and responsible community member. They are introduced to the types of skills and knowledge necessary to be a worker in the community: the experience of working as a team in a pizza shop, getting paid and paying taxes, deciding how tax money should be allocated, and exercising their civic duty to make decisions for the good of the community.
JA Our City will engage third grade students through fun, hands-on activities that focus on community, teamwork, and the city economy. Students learn how cities work by looking at the roles of businesses, organizations, and people in making the city
successful using interactive hands-on activities such as building a city, designing sustainable spaces, and simulating financial decisions. The learning experience emphasizes critical thinking and introduces real-world concepts in a relatable way, inspiring students to see themselves as active contributors to their communities.
JA Our Region is designed to unlock fourth grade students’ curiosity through engaging activities like a job scavenger hunt and a hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) challenge. Students will explore how regional differences shape job opportunities, resource use, trade, and consumer choices. This learning experience will help students gain a deep understanding of how regions influence the economy and everyday life. It will also illustrate how their choices influence their regional economy.
JA Our Nation introduces fifth graders to key aspects of the nation’s economy, skill development, career exploration, and community involvement. Through interactive games and activities, students explore competition, innovation, career options, and the importance of giving back. This learning experience helps students understand how their skills and actions contribute to both personal success and the greater good. It blends real-world learning with hands-on activities including a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) innovation challenge and games that link students’ skills and interests to potential career paths.
JA More than Money introduces third-, fourth-, and fifth-grade students to financial literacy and entrepreneurship and to social studies learning objectives that include money-management, goods and services, and global markets. Through hands-on activities and a JA cast of characters serving as symbols for financial literacy and entrepreneurship concepts, students will learn a practical approach to starting a business and making smart decisions about managing money.
