Volunteer Orientation Materials

We’re excited to have you join us at JA BizTown! Below, you will find the resources you need for a successful volunteer experience.

Prepare for the Volunteer Experience

  • If yes, your child’s teacher has already assigned you to a business. Please check with them to learn which business you’ll be working with and review the details before your visit.
  • If no, you will be assigned a business when you arrive. Watch the videos in the playlist below to learn more about each business before your visit. While we do our best to honor preferences, all job assignments are determined by the number of volunteers, arrival times, and pre-assigned school volunteers.
  • Attend the mandatory on-site volunteer training
  • On the day of your volunteer experience, arrive at the JA BizTown facility at your assigned time, which you can find in your confirmation email.
  • Training will include:
  • A Volunteer Training Video (also available in the playlist below)
  • An introduction to the JA BizTown staff, with time for questions
  • Training for your assigned business
